Relax Like A Mother- Parenthood



Mums- how much time do you spend looking after yourself these days?

If you’re anything like I used to be, then the only ‘time’ I took was to wash my hair- that was genuinely a luxury and it was basically all I did to actually look after myself and I can bet that I’m not alone.

We all have a tendency to put the needs of others first and we forget that age old saying- ‘put your own oxygen mask on, before you put on others’. Yes, I know it’s cliche but it’s so TRUE. If you don’t look after yourself, how can you look after others?

So,  I’ve devised an afternoon that’s all about YOU. An afternoon where you get to be with other women, going through the same sleepless nights, the same relentless demands on their time, the same feelings of guilt and not being ‘enough’. We’re all going to sit down together, let those feelings out, allow ourselves to be heard and then work on healing ourselves.

We’ll start off with a gorgeous lunch, joined by some lovely pregnant mums from their morning pregnancy relaxation session, then we’ll wave them good bye and kick off our afternoon.

You’ll each get your chance to share your journey, your feelings, your trials and tribulations (if you want to, of course). We’ll all listen, we’ll all be there for you. Once those emotions have flowed we’ll head over to the squashy yoga mats, pillows and blankets for a heavenly relaxation, which will allow you to really focus on you (something we very rarely do). After we’ve finished that and are feeling that bit lighter, I’ll lead a small craft session. So, you’ll get a little something to take away with you, to remind you of how important you are, to remind you that you matter. And don’t worry if you’re not very creative or artistic, I promise it will be super simple and it will just allow each of us to do something that matters to us… whilst, of course, chatting over more drinks and snacks (possibly the most important part of the afternoon- you will actually be able to drink a hot drink before it goes cold AND eat a biscuit without having to share it- now quite frankly, I’d pay just  to do that!).



Each session will be kept to a maximum of 6 mums, so you will each get your time to speak (if you want to) and there will be plenty of time for me to support each of you in the way that you need. I want each of you to leave feeling totally at ease, with a renewed sense of confidence in yourself as a mother.


Suitable for mums with children of any age, as soon as you feel able to leave your baby for a few hours then you can come along. That could mean you are ready when your baby is 6 weeks old, 6 months old or 6 years old. Trust me- it will be different for all of you and it really doesn’t matter, as long as you feel ready.
